Rhythm and Roots at the Ford

Lula Washington Dance Theatre (LWDT) will join the Keshet Chayim Dance Ensemble; the Agape International Choir; Grammy winner Macy Gray; pioneer female rapper MC Lyte; Israeli song sensation Haral Skaat; and Oprah Winfrey singing discovery Abraham McDonald for an evening of dance and music at the John Anson Ford Amphitheater, Sunday, Aug. 28 at 7:30 pm. “Rhythm and Roots” is designed as a sharing of cultures through music and dance. It is produced by Keshet Chayim Dance Ensemble. Its mission is to break down cultural barriers through the arts. Proceeds from the benefit concert will go towards Keshet Chayim’s education programs; and also to “Children Uniting Nations” – an advocacy group for youth in foster care.
