Dance All Day at Taste of Soul
The Lula Washington Dance Theatre (LWDT) will host “Dance All Day” — a full day of outdoor performances, classes and a competition judged by Hollywood dance professionals on Saturday, Oct. 15, as part of the 6th Annual Taste of Soul Festival on Crenshaw Boulevard.
The event will take place outdoors in the brick-wall enclosed parking lot of the Lula Washington Dance Theatre at 3773 Crenshaw Blvd., Los Angeles CA 90016. LWDT will set up a performance stage in the parking lot along with food booths; health information booths; and a jumper for the children.
Members of the Lula Washington Dance Theatre School and its Youth Dance Ensemble will perform during the day, along with praise dance groups from local churches; and dance contestants from around the city. Judges from the MSA Talent Agency, Disney and Nike will choose dance winners who will receive prizes for giving the best performances. Groups wishing to participate should contact event coordinator Tamica Washington-Miller at firstname.lastname@example.org
or call: 323-292-5852. Activities go non-stop from 10 am until 6 pm. A dance concert is scheduled for 4 pm.
Dance All Day includes health care vendors from LA Cares; the WIC program; the Britticares Foundation; the Coalition for Mental Health, and more.
