Renee Bizer

Ms. Bizer has been a member of the Board since 2001. She arranged the $1.3 million financing package needed for the purchase of the LWCDF studio on Crenshaw Boulevard. Renee is also working to build a corporate friends organization to support the dance company.

Dr. Emma Lewis Thomas

Elected to the Board in August, 2004, Emma is focused on developing the artistic side of the dance company. Emma is a long-time donor to LWDT through her family foundation.

David Moch
Board Member
Appointed to the Board in July, 2004, Mr. Moch is an attorney who has shifted careers to education. He has assisted in directing donations of equipment and funds to LWDT and is active with the school programs. He helped produce the 2004 Kwanzaa concert. Four of his children have been involved in the program.
Donald McKayle
Board Member
A renowned choreographer and dance educator, Mr. McKayle provides invaluable service by allowing LWDT to perform his choreographic works, which are acknowledged nationally as masterpieces of the art form. He works directly with Lula and Erwin to provide advice and assistance in the area of artistic development for the company.
Donald Stinson
Board Member
Don is a pioneer African-American ballet dancer from the early 1940s. Mr. Stinson later owned a group of non-profit group homes and an African art shop. He joined the board in 1989 and loaned LWDT $25,000 to help purchase its first building. Don has been focusing on building the Friends of LWCDF.
