IONA MORRIS

Iona – Poet, actress, director, writer:  Guest starred on LAW & ORDER:L.A., COLD CASE, LINCOLN HEIGHTS, STAR TREK: VOYAGER, etc.  Recurred on THE DISTRICT, MOESHA, AS THE WORLD TURNS, etc. Regional theater work in “HOME,” “BLUES FOR AN ALABAMA SKY,” “PIANO LESSON,” etc.  An actor in the multi-award winning Los Angeles ensemble of  “IN THE RED & BROWN WATER,” actress and director of the hit comedy “SASSY MAMAS,” co-writer and performer in the sizzling, sexy show “M.O.I.S.T.!” and many other local productions.  Iona’s directed many solo shows, including:  Jenifer Lewis, Blair Underwood, Penny Johnson Jerald, Kim Wayans, Tammi Mac’s sold out hit BAG LADY, etc.  Other directing credits:  21-person musical “SHEBA” (Los Angeles, The New York Musical Theater Festival), asst. directed “PURLIE” and “RAY” at the Pasadena Playhouse, among many others.  Currently, she is the Dialogue Coach on the hit comedy BLACKish.  Working with incredible actors.
