Summer Professional Training

The Lula Washington Dance Theatre (LWDT ), Company Training and Pre-Professional Intensive programs are where we identify new dancers for our company and Studio Ensemble. Whether you are a polished professional, or, brand new talent, we train and transform dancers to become Lula Washington Dance artists — a very special kind of artist with skills to dance anywhere. If you want to become a Lula dancer, or, if you just want to improve, or prepare for a career in dance, sign-up for the Professional Training Intensive. You will take an audition/placement class to determine your placement level.  This intensive is where we will screen new potential members of our dance company.

The LWDT is one of the few major dance companies in California that tour around the United States and the world. In the last three years, Lula Washington has performed in Russia (six weeks); China (four weeks); Kosovo; Guadalajara; and across America.

In 2011, we will make our debut in Brazil and return to Russia for another month of touring. In the months ahead, we will dance in Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, and throughout California. We pay our dancers for every rehearsal and performance.  Go to www. artsmeme.com to read how LWDT made history in China!
